June 3rd-June 9th Weekly Giveaway

There is no cloth diapering accessory more essential than a good wet bag! Planet Wise went above and beyond when creating the Planet Wise line of Wet Bags, Wet/Dry Bags and Pail Liners. These are the first and only wet bags on the market that are not only sewn, but SEALED at the seams! You can put your wettest diaper, dripping wet swimwear, or wet wipes into a Planet Wise wet bag and be assured that your diaper bag or purse will not get wet from wicking or leaking! Planet Wise Wet Bags are available in 27 different fabric choices and each has a coordinating PVC waterproof inner layer and matching zipper. The Large, Wet/Dry and Hanging Wet/Dry bags have a matching handle.
There are endless uses for Planet Wise Wet Bags! The Planet Wise Mini Wet/Dry Bags can hold cut-up fresh veggies, make-up and mama cloth.
Use a Small Planet Wise Wet Bag in place of a disposable sandwich bag to carry your lunch, to carry your wet wipes, to transport a dirty bib and spoon home from eating dinner out, or to prevent your cold water bottle from getting condensation all over your clean clothes in your gym bag. Are you worried about your shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, etc. leaking all over your luggage but don't want to waste all those disposable plastic bags? Use a Small Planet Wise Wet Bag in your checked luggage to keep everything contained in case of accidental bottle explosions.
A Medium Planet Wise Wet Bag is the perfect size for dirty cloth diapers in your diaper bag. It will keep all odor contained in the wet bag so you won't get an embarrassing waft when you open up your diaper bag. They are also great to hold soiled clothing in your diaper bag. A Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag is the same size as the Medium Planet Wise Wet Bag, but it has an extra pocket to hold dry, clean items. I love using my Planet Wise Wet/Dry bag in place of a diaper bag for quick trips out with my children. I put a couple clean diaper, my wipes pouch, my cell phone and wallet in the front dry pocket. Then after I change a dirty diaper, I simply put it in the wet pocket. The Wet/Dry bag has a loop handle that easily attaches to a stroller or shopping cart.
The Large Planet Wise Wet Bag is great to hold quite a few dirty cloth diapers on a day-trip. It also works wonderfully for wet towels. Nicki and her family used over a dozen Planet Wise Wet Bags to organize and pack their clothing and travel gear on their last family vacation! They are wonderful for bringing home your dirty clothes instead of using a disposable plastic laundry bag! The Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag works as a great alternative to a diaper pail. I have one of these in my son's room hanging off the changing table and a second one hanging off our bathroom closet next to the diaper sprayer. They save on floor space and you can find a pattern to match the room it will be in. Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry bags are also large enough to hold a weekend's worth of dirty diapers so they work perfect for traveling on longer trips and are much easier to bring with than a diaper pail. Many people also like to use the Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry bag as their daycare cloth diaper bag. You can put all your child's clean cloth diapers in the front dry pocket and as the day care provider changes your child, they simply put the dirty diaper in the wet pocket. At the end of the day you only have one bag to bring home!
Line your cloth diaper pail with a Planet Wise Pail Liner (which also has the same seam sealed technology at the Planet Wise Wet Bags), to hold in all wetness and odor and keep your baby's room smelling fresh. They have no-pill elastic around the top so they easily fit most standard pails and trash cans. Planet Wise Pail Liners are available in a wide assortment of colors to be sure to match any taste. Planet Wise recently released a Wipes Pouch that is the perfect dimensions for your cloth wipes folded in half. They come with super-soft matching cloth wipes. Slip your pre-moistened wipes into the pouch and toss it into the front pocket of your Wet/Dry bag and you are ready for any diaper change on the go!
All Planet Wise Wet Bags and Pail Liners can be laundered right with your cloth diapers or regular clothing. To enter to win a Planet Wise Wet/Dry Bag in your choice of fabric, leave a comment on our blog with a link to each entry (examples: your blog post, your comment on our FB page, etc.). You may only do each entry option once per weekly giveaway. Winner will be posted 6/9. Winner must email annie@nickisdiapers.com within one week to claim your prize. 1. Our routine: Diaper off baby into pail at edge of changing table (plastic garbage can with cover, lined with planet wise liner bag). If we've been out and about dump those dipes and wet bag in pail. Every other evening dump into washing machine, cold rinse, hot wash with Crunchy Clean detergent, cold rinse. Hang to dry if we still have enough or dry in dryer if supply is low. Once dry, stuffed and back on the table for another wear! Still EBF so don't have to deal with rinsing for about another month!

I put dirty diapers in my planet wise wet bag. I wash (one cold, one hot) every other morning using liquid I make from soap nuts. Then I line dry! I'd love to have a wet/dry bag!

I rinse on cold, wash on warm and hang to dry. LOL This is my 6th cloth diapered baby.... it's second hand now!

Wash routine is pretty basic: cold rinse, hot wash/cold rinse cycle with rockin green (I try to let it soak for a couple hours if possible), extra cold rinse. Every couple months I do a soak in a little bleach on my inserts/prefolds to keep the ammonia monster away.

we use the wet bags instead of diaper pails- they are perfect. We have two so that we can rotate them through the laundry and still have one in her room. We usually hang dry the bag but dry the diapers in the dryer.

I was diapers every other day. I keep the diapers in one of the diaper pail liners or the hanging wet bag (depending on where I change the diaper). Then I dump them all in the washer and then throw the bags in too. I use very minimal detergent and wash them on a cold pre-wash then a hot wash and a double rinse. Then I hang up the covers (I use Haute Pockets) and dry the inserts on low heat unless it's warm enough to dry them all outside.

I wash diapers every other night. I store them in a pail with a planetwise pail liner (love). I do a rinse first and then a hot wash using Chartreuse soap nuts. Once a month I use Rockin' Green and soak for an hour or two and do a double wash then extra rinse.

girlsmom0406 said...

I don't really have much of a wash routine. I wash diapers either when needed or when convenient. Usually every 2-3 days but I can go 4-5 if I've been using my GroBaby shells and biosoakers or my prefolds and covers (I prefer pockets). I store my dirty diapers in a large Planet Wise wet bag, but it's just a little too small, I do love it for every other reason though! I just have a lot of diapers. If inserts need to be removed for the wash I take them out before I put them in the wetbag and now I'll start spraying poo off too since my baby just started solids. When it comes to wash time I like to just dump the whole wet bag in and start the wash (cold rinse, hot wash with RG and oxyclean, two cold rinses). When everything is dry I stuff all my pockets and put them in a basket under the changing table and then have my hybrid shells, PUL covers and my few fitteds in another basket and my prefolds are folded and put in a plastic drawer in his closet...but those aren't used much.

My cd washing routine is wash every 1-2 days (I find it's easier to just make it a daily routine rather than a chore every few days). Cold rinse, then hot heavy wash with free & clear detergent, then cold rinse. So far so good and no stinkie issues!!

I store my diapers in a wet bag. I wash my diapers every other day - cold rinse, hot wash with rockin' green, cold rinse. I dry my liners and prefolds in the dryer and air dry my pocket diapers and covers.

I've been using Best Bottoms cloth diapers for a few months now and still love washing them! I thought the excitement would have ended by now.

I usually add some OxiClean Free to the wash cycle and make sure to do an extra rinse at the end. My favorite part is that there's nothing to fold when the diapers come out of the dryer or off the line. I just stack the inserts up, and they feel so nice and soft.
