July 1st-July 7th Weekly Giveaway

We're starting July off with a BANG!! This week's giveaway is featuring one of the most highly sought after cloth diapers ever sold at Nicki's Diapers... The Best Bottom Cloth Diaper!!! How Does The Best Bottom System Work:

Simplify, simplify, simplify! Many may start researching cloth diapers, get overwhelmed and quit. Best Bottoms are YOUR solution! So easy to use yet comes with lots of options so you can get a customized system for your baby.

1. Adjust front snaps to achieve the size needed.

2. Snap insert into diaper.

3. Put diaper on baby and go!

4. When baby needs a diaper change snap out soiled insert and snap clean one in.

5. Put diaper on baby and go AGAIN. The Best Bottom shell is wipe-able and can be used multiple times before washing but you may want to air dry between uses but it is not necessary.

We recommend getting as many shells as your baby poos in a 2-3 day time period (for newborns count how many explosions they have!!). We have found that poo does stay on the insert most of the time but in some cases it may not (but it will stay in the diaper cover avoiding an embarassing mess!) Three different size inserts in several different materials available. We don't believe in a one size insert. Newborns and toddlers are not the same size so in order for a one size insert to absorb enough for a toddler it will be HUGE on a newborn. You may not need all three sizes of inserts and can skip the middle size - it is all up to you! We recommend approximately 24 inserts per size.

So to make it SIMPLE you will need approx 8-10 shells and 18-24 inserts per size. How easy is that?!

Quality:

The highest quality of materials available have been selected with as much of the raw materials made in the USA as we could find. The entire Shell is made with USA-made materials! ALL of our products are proudly handcrafted in the USA at local factories helping to support the local economy and reduce our environmental impact. We use durable snaps and hook & loop, double layer of waterproof PUL creating a perfect no-leak sturdy shell with a wipe-able inside lasting for many washes.

To enter to win aBest Bottom Cloth Diaper Shell in your choice of color and closure and 3 stay-dry inserts in your choice of size, leave a comment on our blog with a link to each entry (examples: your blog post, your comment on our FB page, etc.). You may only do each entry option once per weekly giveaway. Winner will be posted 7/8. Winner must email annie@nickisdiapers.com within one week to claim your prize.

  1. Become a subscriber of the Nicki's Diapers Blog if if you already are, comment on any blog post other than the weekly giveaway.
  2. "Like" Nicki's Diapers on Facebook of if you already do, post a comment on the page (saying "commenting for the giveaway" does not qualify as a comment.)
  3. Post a comment on your Facebook page and include a link to the Nicki's Diapers Website.
  4. Follow Nicki's Diapers on Twitter or if you already do, Tweet about Nicki's Diapers.
  5. Post a fan picture on the Nicki's Diapers Facebook Page
  6. Blog about Nicki's Diapers including a link to the Nicki's Diapers website.
  7. Talk about Nicki's Diapers on a Forum and include a link to any page on the Nicki's Diapers website (counts as double entry, please comment twice for this entry!)
  8. Grab one of our buttons and put it on your blog, if it already is, let us know!
  9. Tell us one area you'd like to improve on when it comes to being more green or frugal.
  10. Tell us one thing you do (besides cloth diapering) to be more green or frugal.

One thing we have done is join a CSA (Consumer Supported Agriculture). It is all locally grown organic food. We are loving it!

Other ways we are green beside cd'ing is by using eco friendly, biodegradable cleansers. We recycle everything we can. We are growing our own veggies and planted many new trees and fruit trees this year.

Momma K9 said...

I would like to be more green by using less plastic all around!

Amy said...

I would like to start recycling more. I am very good about recycling my soda bottles but nothings else. I hope to find a local recycling place soon and begin recycling. I think it's important to teach my son at a young age to be green and do all he can to help protect the environment.

Amy said...

I am very frugal when it comes to electricity. We do not have lights on during the day and I do not keep electronics plugged in when they are not in use. I use reusable grocery bags most of the time when getting groceries. If I do not use a reusable grocery bag, then I recycle the plastic bag by using it for a garbage sack.

I use reusable grocery bags and just learned a tip that you should wash them after use, especially after carrying any kind of meat product because they can become germ infested.

I make my own baby food from our CSA produce or our own garden and cook a lot from scratch. We also compost like mad!

My family is becoming more and more "green" every day. We do not use any chemicals in my home anymore. We use the light rail instead of our car as much as possible.

Unknown said...

I want to be more green or frugal as far as my kids clothes. I need to start buying more used stuff for them. I could save tons of money and it is better for the environment because we would be recycling. With ebay and Craigslist it is not hard to buy used clothes for kids- I just need to do it.
