January 28th-February 3rd Weekly Giveaway

The ERGO Baby Carrier is one of the most popular baby carriers on the market! It is easy to put on and take off while providing you complete freedom of movement. This baby carrier can be used from infant (by using the Infant Insert) to toddler - just one carrier to meet all your needs. Simple! Even better, it is super versatile and you can wear it on the front, back, and hip positions (moving between the positions is easy). The ERGO Baby Carrier has an ergonomic design that fully supports both you and your baby in a very comfortable and healthy way. For baby this design supports a correct sitting position for their hip, pelvis, and spine growth. This position disperses most of the baby's weight between the hips and thighs helping to eliminate compression of the spine when hanging by the crotch which most other designs require. For parents, the fit of this baby carrier helps keep your body aligned and alleviate common back pain with baby carrying so you can hold your baby longer. With two shoulder straps and a very supportive waist belt the baby's weight is evenly distributed over the parent's body. The ERGO Baby Carrier is great to be used anytime...great for shopping, traveling, hiking, housework, gardening, and any activity you can think of where the parent(s) need freedom yet baby is safely and securely attached. Leave your stroller at home! No more navigating through crowds trying not to run others over. Plus, in the front position this baby carrier is perfect for nursing and simply holding your baby close when they are in need of comfort. If your baby falls asleep (which can happen often in this comfy carrier) the attached sleeping hood is perfect to cover your baby.

The ERGO Baby Carrier is a one size fits most carrier (great for Moms and Dads) and comes in a variety of colors! Each carrier comes with a free instructional DVD. Accessories are available too!

ERGO has a new Infant Insert that is designed to support baby's pelvis, hip joint and leg position along with the head and neck. The specially padded and shaped cushion can quickly and easily be placed in the carrier and readjusted as needed. It snaps closed around the infant, holding the baby in a cozy, protected environment.

To enter to win a free Organic Sea Green Ergo Baby Carrier and Organic Silver Infant Insert, you will receive ONE entry for EACH option below (you MUST leave a comment for each option saying what you did and where). This means you can get multiple entries increasing your chance to WIN! (each "Weekly Giveaway" may be different):

My positive babywearing story....I am a mom of four awesome kids. My oldest are 8 and about to turn 7. I didn't know anything about babywearing with them. Poor kiddos, the only thing I was aware of were crotch danglers. We all three hated them.
Well, baby #3 came to our family when she was 9 months old and I was about to have a new baby (#4) soon. #3 has special needs and #4 has really bad reflux and constantly needed held. So I started searching on BBC and came across the babywearing group. I decided to go with a stretchy wrap. My goodness I am so glad I did! It allows me to hold our youngest as much as she needs (she is 19 months now) and still tend to #3's needs!

Positive baby wearing story. I am a mom of two children 3 and 8 mo. Both boys were very fussy babies and needed to be held constantly. Luckily through babywearing we were able to continue with our lives. The two of them have nursed and been everywhere in a sling. I now encourage moms in the childbirth ed. class that I teach to babywear too.

I just used a sling with my LO (19 mos now) & it was wonderful. I remember being so proud of myself when I went grocery shopping for the first time after he was born. His carseat didn't rest well on top of the grocery cart, so I decided to wear the sling while shopping - I was hooked! He was always so happy & content being close to mom (& his food source). It was perfect for church too, as I didn't want to lug his carseat through church all day. I am planning to be more of a baby-wearer for our next one & this would be so awesome to win!

I started wearing my first daughter in an Ergo when she was about 3 weeks old. I tried wrapping her but it wasn't for us at the time so the Ergo it was and we LOVED it (still do almost 3 years later). When my second daughter was born I knew I needed a good hands free solution to keep her close but still chase her crazy 2 1/2 year old big sister. This time I was determined to try a bunch of different things. So we have a pouch, some ring slings, the Ergo, and a wrap and we love them all. She is almost always close, always comfy, and always safe and secure. I have had so many people tell me as we're out and about in our daily lives that they're impressed that we do the things we do and wish they'd have had something that neat when their kids were growing up.

I recommend wearing to all my friends and family with little ones!

oh, and a positive baby wearing story....Went on our first vacation when my baby was 4 months old to JEkyll Island, GA. When he was upset, I would put him in my baby carrier, and walk down the beach and he would instantly fall asleep. I would get comments all the time of my cute little baby with his big sun hat, snoozing while mommy strolled down the beach. It was so relaxing and he loved it!

my first big outing with my first daughter in her sling, she discovered her thumb while she was in there (less than 1 month old!), and started sucking on it... she still sucks her thumb at 3.5 years old, but i'll never forget that first time in her ring sling!

My positive babywearing story: I just put my 15 month old in a backpack carrier while I was teaching a re-scheduled piano lesson, and she was pretty happy to be in a comfortable place listening to the music!

Let's just say for my positive babywearing story, is each and every time I go grocery shopping, I am SO much more relaxed with my little guy. Not only am I not stressed out if he wakes up, since I know he'll happliy look around the store while I shop, this is something that he doesn't necessarily do when in a stroller, usually he's in the mood for me to pick him up right away. With Sam in my BabyHawk, I am confident I can finish my shopping AND have a happy baby.

My positive babywearing story: Nothing seemed to soothe my newborn baby when we first brought her home, no amount of walking, rocking, shushing, swaddling, except for wrapping her. Its like a magical quality is woven into those fibers that can instantly sooth a fussy baby. Love babywearing!!!
